Besides, LIMPH, I also received my training and education as a clinical social worker. I have worked directly with children, teens, adults, with multiple ethnicities such as Latinos, Asians, Caucasians, African-Americans. My multi-cultural experience and upbringing gives me an edge in connecting with my patients and forming a solid bond of trust, which always helps in making the therapy much more effective. As a patient centered therapist, I always keep my patients priorities at the top to make sure I see their issues from their eyes, and provide the best solutions and support. My motto has always been to provide the level of care to my patients that I would expect my family and kids to receive.
I have directly worked towards diagnosing, evaluating and providing the required therapy for teen anxiety, teen depression, mood swings, suicidal tendencies and ideations, for teens and adolescents coming from jointed and disenfranchised families. I conduct individual and group counseling, crisis management, consultations and outreach. I provide evidence-based counseling services (e.g., evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, and treatment) to patients within the psychiatric ambulatory setting for the purpose of preventing or eliminating symptomatic, maladaptive, or undesired behavior. I have always carried my passion for serving minorities and patients of varied socio-economic and educational levels. I practiced and believe in integrated mental and behavioral health services. This passion of mine has translated into my team play approach of collaborating with doctors, mid-levels, midwifes, nurses, social workers and psychiatrists. I believe that an informed and integrated approach can not only help my patients improve their mental health conditions but raise their quality life.
I personally value and carry the empathy of treating patients with different ethnic backgrounds and cultures and feel we all can learn so much from each other during the time we spend at the therapy session.
